Prior to becoming a fully qualified and insured marine surveyor, Alex owned and operated a boat brokerage and marine engineering business. His extensive engineering experience enables him to confidently assess a wide range of vessels and onboard systems, including engines, outdrives, IPS units, and traditional sterngear.

Alex is a fully qualified, registered marine surveyor operating throughout the UK, Europe, including the Mediterranean. He is an Associate Member of The International Institute of Marine Surveying (IIMS) and is protected by full professional indemnity insurance.

Alex offers a comprehensive handholding service to guide you through every stage of buying a vessel, ensuring a smooth, confident, and well-informed purchase with exceptional attention to detail.

After 14 years working as a Senior Audiologist and Tinnitus Counsellor within the NHS, Julie chose to dedicate her time to developing Alex Lloyd Marine Surveyor and Engineer, as well as Lloyds Marine and Leisure.

Julie works across both the office and workshop, bringing a hands-on approach to every aspect of the business. She is also a professional boat photographer, providing high-quality imagery for boat brokerages.
